KANSAS CITY, Mo. - UPDATE - 7:15 a.m.
The westbound lanes of Southwest Boulevard are back open after crews cleared out a drain and removed water from the roadway.
The westbound lanes of Southwest Boulevard are closed at 25th Street because of water on the roadway.
Throughout the night and into Tuesday morning, the heavy rain has created flooding conditions in some places.
The water is nearly a foot high in that area.
AAA says six inches of water will make some cars stall. One foot will make cars float and two feet will sweep cars away.
Authorities in Johnson, Clay and Platte counties tell us they have not come across any major flooding in their areas.
