KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A survivor of one of the worst tragedies in Kansas City history shared his story on Thursday.
Nearly 33 years ago, a skywalk collapse at the Hyatt killed 114 people and injured 216 others.
Leonard Rose was trapped in the rubble for 4 1/2 hours before getting rescued.
Rose, who's now 91, says not a day goes by that he doesn't think about what happened.
"When something like that happens, you can never forget. But, the thing of it is, is that it slowed down my life, but never stopped it," Rose said.
The Skywalk Memorial Foundation is still raising money to build a memorial at Hospital Hill Park.
