On Feb. 25, the IRS will hold a public auction of more than 120 high-profile music mementos at the DoubleTree Hotel in Overland Park.

The collection, which was seized from a private collector, includes guitars autographed by Ozzy Osbourne, Kurt Cobain and Joe Walsh, autographed photos of Johnny Cash, KISS and Marilyn Manson, an Easy Rider helmet signed by Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson.

Prospective buyers can also pick up a gruesome souvenir from the action film "The Crow" the jacket its star, Brandon Lee, was allegedly wearing when he was killed on-set.

Items can be previewed on Feb. 24 from 2-6 p.m. and the day of the auction from 9-11 a.m. The auction will begin at 11 a.m. at the hotel located at 1011 College Boulevard.

The minimum aggregate bid is $15,495 and mail-in bids are accepted. All payments must be by cash, certified check, cashier’s or treasurer’s check or by a United States postal, bank, express, or telegraph money order.

You can see a full list of items (and photographs of a few) at the IRS auction listing online.
