College for anyone these days is costly and it's important to try and save every penny one can. The Now talked with one Kansas family who is finding tuition is cheaper out of state.

Carly Byrd, a recent high school graduate, will be attending the University of Arkansas this fall because she wanted to go somewhere a little further than the University of Kansas. Carly also found tuition is about a $1,000 less at the University of Arkansas compared to some of the other schools she was interested in attending.

"With my GPA and ACT score, I was able to get tuition for roughly $8,000/year, and on top of that I got an academic scholarship for $8,000, so basically I am paying nothing for tuition," said Byrd.
