KC entrepreneurs start online campaign to create socks for sports teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two local entrepreneurs need your help with their Kickstarter campaign.

Sock 101 offers stylish comfortable socks for around $7 a pair. The creators of this start-up say socks are now just as much of an accessory as a neck tie.

In fact, former president George H. Bush has several pairs and is a fan. The company is having success but they want to take it to the next level by offering a team line.

"A lot of people go to alumni events, they go to football games, they go to fantasy football drafts and they want to show off their colors but they don't want to wear a t-shirt or a hat," said Jason Grill.

So far they've raised more than $11,000, but they need $25,000 for the team line. To see their Kickstarter campaign, visit http://kck.st/1brnsL4.
