KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The small but strong group of protestors at 39th and Troost doesn't want you to forget the 276 Nigerian girls still missing thousands of miles away.
More than a month ago, extremists kidnapped the girls from their school in Nigeria. The hashtag and phrase Bring Back Our Girls went viral including tweets and support from first lady Michelle Obama and a list of Hollywood celebrities.
Now that the buzz has died down, protestors want to remind you that those girls still need your help. The protestors included young and old. Some were from Kansas City. Some traveled from Nigeria. Some from Nigeria have made their home in Kansas City for more than four decades. Global pressure, they say, is their only hope.
