Group leaders started working to get the word out about Google Fiber in February.
They had to have 161 pre-registrations to qualify. But some residents were concerned they wouldn't reach that number because the neighborhood has a large mix of incomes.
But thanks to the video and a door to door campaign, they reached their goal in a week and a half.
"We're happy we made it, but we're not stopping," said resident Kristen Johnson. "We're going to keep pushing because it does really nice things for our property values and shows people this is a place to live."
The qualification means three schools in the area will get Fiber for free.
