KCK STICKS heading to play in the RBI World Series in Texas

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The KCK Sticks team is heading to play in the RBI World Series in Texas this week.

This is the Kansas City, Kan., baseball team’s first appearance in the tournament. They advanced by winning the RBI Central Regional Tournament.

League Director Cle Ross said the team is proud to represent the state of Kansas.

RBI stands for “Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities.” The KCK RBI program serves 904 children.

The program is also trying to raise money to renovate its fields . Right now, it’s about $800,000 short of the $1.8 million goal. The program hopes to raise the money by next March and to renovate the fields by next summer.
