KCPD South Patrol station back open after suspicious device found in parking lot

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - KCPD’s South Patrol station was evacuated after a suspicious device was found in the parking lot on Wednesday.

According to police, a man walked into the station and told officers there was an unknown device with wires attached to his car and did not know where it came from.

Officers alerted the bomb and arson section as a precaution while the campus was evacuated.

Police said the device was determined not explosive and the station is back open.
