LAWRENCE, Kan. - A University of Kansas fraternity is facing punishment after allegedly killing a turkey.
It all happened at the beta theta pi fraternity house last December.
Witnesses told 41 Action News there was a live turkey in a cage. When it was eventually let out of the cage, fraternity members abused it. One person then killed it.
On Friday night, the fraternity agreed to 1,000 hours of community service. They will also pay the city of Lawrence $5,000 for the cost of the investigation.
