KANSAS CITY, Mo. – If you held on to your library copy of Harry Potter – The Cursed Child too long and racked up a hefty library fine, there’s still hope.
Through Sunday, Oct. 28, the Kansas City Library is offering people a chance to clear portions of late fees by donating undamaged, unexpired and non-perishable food at the library.
The library will donate the food to Harvester’s, and in return, knock off $1 of a late fee account for every food item donated.
The library’s goal this year is 10,000 items.
