KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A litter of puppies were dumped in Clay County woods in below-freezing temperatures.
Thankfully, a couple found the puppies, but not in the best conditions. They were found with only a blanket.
Now, the folks at Wayside Waifs are helping rehome the seven puppies. They said they are doing well and are now even playing with toys.
Jennie Rinas with Wayside Waifs said they will be back to Wayside in about a month when they are old enough for their spay and neuter surgeries.
If they then pass their behavior medical evaluations, Rinas said they should be ready to go for adoption.
The puppies will stay with foster families in the meantime.
