KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A local man is taking a unique step to promote breast cancer awareness.
Gregg Klein's two nieces, Melanie and Kim, were diagnosed breast cancer about a month apart.
Now, both of them are four years cancer free.
So in their honor, he decided to dye his hair and beard bright pink for the month of October.
"It'll be interesting, and I think it'll bring awareness to what's going on and that men should be as involved as women," said Klein.
Gregg hopes the finished product will encourage conversations and inspire women to get their annual checkups.
