KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The northwest side of the Kansas City Downtown Loop is back open after a serious accident Sunday afternoon.
The roadway near I-70 and Walnut was shut down around 1:30 p.m. after an 18-wheeler hit and critically injured a man after he got out of his car.
The man was rushed to Truman Medical Center. Police tell 41 Action News that his injuries are non-life threatening.
The roadway was back open just before 4 p.m.
