KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A push to keep teens out of trouble in Kansas City is getting extra emphasis after several incidents on the Country Club Plaza.
Mayor's Night Out was held at the Gregg Klice Community Center near 16th and Vine on Saturday evening to prevent trouble on the Plaza and other locations in Kansas City.
Last Saturday night, police said there were two incidents involving kids on the Country Club Plaza.
Police broke up two fights and in one instance used foggers to disperse the crowd.
No one was injured or arrested.
This initiative by the mayor's office started in late May.
Organizers said there is a renewed effort to keep kids entertained and off the streets
The Mayor's Night Out event ends in two weekends on Aug. 16.
