KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Kansas City Chiefs season ticket holder from Minnesota says someone fired shots into his RV while he and his family were in town this weekend for the game.

Norman Winfrey said he was driving on 40 Highway near Hardy Avenue in Independence Sunday when he heard a loud bang.

He got out and discovered someone had fired a shot into his RV.

The incident drew onlookers from nearby.

“Everybody was reacting,” Winfrey said of the incident. “We had people over here from the other bus asking, ‘What’s going on?’”

Winfrey didn’t want to make a visit to the Independence Police Department on Sunday out of a fear of missing the game.

He returned Monday morning but left without filing a report after waiting for 90 minutes.
