Mugging victim writes Yelp review to thieves

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Have you ever walked down Main Street past midnight and been afraid?

That's a question Malory Craft is asking in a review she posted on Monday.

But this was no ordinary restaurant review complaining about poor service, cold food or expensive prices. Craft titled hers "A Letter to my Muggers."

"It was a scary situation. Probably the craziest thing that's ever happened to me," Craft said.

Craft and three of her co-workers were in visiting from Oklahoma last week for a conference.

At 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, two men held the group at gunpoint, stole their purses and ended up shooting one girl in her neck.

"We didn't know if she was ok, and all of our stuff was gone," Craft said.

The muggers ran down the street and are believed to have stolen a man's car and took off.

Now, Craft wants to give them a little piece of her mind.

Her letter includes 34 questions asking the muggers things like "how much did you get for that android anyway? Like $20?  While it was still working did you SnapChat any of my friends?"

"Did you know that we were from out of town? Did you know that I didn't have any money in my purse maybe 30 dollars? Was it worth it?" she asked.

It was her first trip to Kansas City, and while the assault has tainted her impression of the city, she said the experience wasn't all bad.

"Right after it happened, the owner of the pizza place, our hotel, everybody that we dealt with in Kansas City was so nice and so gracious. I want to come back but I don't know how soon how I will," Craft said.
