RIVERSIDE, Mo. - Hundreds of jobs are coming to the Kansas City area.
Martinrea Riverside LLC broke ground on Thursday on a new automotive parts facility in Riverside, Mo.
The new facility is expected to create about 290 new jobs.
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon was at the groundbreaking, and says future workers will likely receive training from local colleges.
"These are folks that will have to have not only what you would say are your good value skills, blue collar skills, but they have to have some IT ability, some ability to be retrained and work in teams,” said Gov. Jay Nixon.
Missouri offered the company millions in tax incentives to build in the state.
