KANSAS CITY, Mo. - More than 200 volunteers helped build and open a new playground at Genesis Promise Academy in Kansas City, Mo. The ideas for the playground came from drawings children drew.
Some of the volunteers are from the local advertising firm Barkley as a way to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
“It takes a lot of work, but you can see it come to life. Just in the last four hours we’ve seen it come out of the ground and it looks awesome. It’s going to be a great place for the kids,” Barkley President Jeff Fromm said.
Volunteers from Kaboom toy store also helped out. Volunteers also worked on improvements inside the school, including painting.
