NY Times article says priests don't support Bishop Finn

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A New York Times article, published Dec. 2, reports a survey of Bishops in the Kansas City area showed many do not support Bishop Robert Finn and some felt he should resign.

The article cited a survey commissioned by the diocese to run a capital campaign.

According to the article, 40 priests in the diocese participated. The Times obtained 32 responses.

Bishop Finn was the first bishop in the United States convicted for a misdemeanor charge of failing to report suspected abuse.

Finn was sentenced to court-supervised probation for the conviction.
