Jeff Kinnaman hadn't seen his truck since he was carjacked during the early morning hours of October 16, until 41 Action News showed him footage of the police chase involving his truck that ensued three days later.

"Oh ya, motor's gone," said Kinnaman, who was surprised to see his red GMC seemingly totaled. "All this crap has been just crazy. I've lost pretty much everything."

Kinnaman was at 23rd and Topping in KCMO around 2 a.m. on October 16, when he was carjacked.

"I was at a stoplight and next thing I know the doors open, I was yanked out, got clubbed, and took off. Happens real quick," he said.

On October 19, The Odessa native's red GMC led police on a high-speed chase through Kansas City that ended in Budd Park. Two men were arrested. Kinnaman said neither appear to be the man who assaulted him and took off with his truck three days earlier.

"He's a whole lot shorter," said Kinnaman regarding his carjacker while looking at 41 Action News' arrest footage from the chase on the 19th.

Kinnaman said with no transportation, he's lost his job since the carjacking and can't get a rental car because he has no credit card.

KCPD recommends always locking your car doors, something Kinnaman will do from now on as well.

"You need to go somewhere, lock your door," he said.
