KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The lunch menu at Park Hill Schools is getting a makeover.
On Wednesday, some middle school students got the chance to taste test the new foods that could end up on next year's menu.
The official tasting was held at Congress Middle School. The Food Services Department is hoping to find foods that kids like and that meet the federal nutrition guidelines.
"I think it's so important to give the students the decision, the choice. We really like to give them plenty of options for lunch and when they see an option that they know they had a choice in, it kind of makes them more prone to choose that," District Coordinator Katherine Martin said.
Those changes could take effect next fall.
