Patrons heading to Westport to party need to carry a little extra cash. Starting this weekend some privately-owned parking lots will charge a $5 parking fee.
The Westport Regional Business League started the public parking fee this weekend.
They hope to deter crime and pay off-duty officers to watch the parking lots.
