You see something on the Internet…maybe on Pinterest…that you want to recreate!

Something artsy.

Something crafty.

But, you’ve been down this road before and arrived at the signpost marked “Pinterest Fail-Population: YOU.”

You need a “Pintervention!”

There is such a place at 148th and Metcalf in Overland Park.

Owner and Chief Pinterventionist, Nancy Duin, has been helping folks make what they see a reality for about a year and a half now.

Nancy says it’s easy to participate:

Sign Up!  Choose your favorite class from the online calendar and get your name on the list or just show up on an open studio day such as Tuesday, Friday or Saturday.

Show Up! Everything you need…paint, brushes, glue, tools and, especially, non-judgmental, helpful instructors…is already there.

Step three: Enjoy!

Prices range from around $6 for a coaster to $50 for a welcome sign.

You add your own distinctive touches to take home something special and unique.

It is also a great place to bring your scout troop, birthday party or corporate outing.

For Nancy, the whole idea is to provide a place for people to interact with people, putting the social back into the social network.
