KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Plaza Art Fair brings thousands of people to Country Club Plaza in Kansas City to celebrate art.

On Friday, nine city blocks of the Country Club Plaza will be filled with 240 artists, live music, and restaurant booths.

Some booths for children, like at St. Paul's Episcopal Day School, will give kids them the chance to channel their inner artist by creating bugs.

Other booths are for adults. At HMK patrons will be able to turn a piece of wood into a tribute to KC.

Finally, for the art fair to hit all the right notes, you need music.

Three different stages. Fifty different acts. We didn’t even get to the food and drink! Celebrate with your friends and neighbors all weekend long in a very artful way.

Organizers say more than 250,000 people attend the fair. Click here to see photos from last year's event.

The fair is held Sept. 22-24.

  • Friday, 9/22/17:  5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, 9/23/17: 10 a.m - 10 p.m.
