KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A death investigation is underway after police received a report of "disturbing findings" in a garage in Kansas City, Kan.
An anonymous call lead police to a garage near New Jersey Avenue and North 20th Street.
Police found a body in the garage behind the home.
Neighbor Charity Tubbs said a woman rented the home.
"So the gal there with little boys, there's been kids over there with her but I've seen a little girl over there, too. Out in the yard playing and stuff but I've never seen anyone go in or out of that garage," Tubbs said.
Police called it a "death investigation" but wouldn't say how the person may have died or how long the body was there.
However, the heavy police presence made neighbors like Donnie Young think it was part of a larger investigation.
"I feel for the person that they found and I don't know what they could have done to have someone do something like that. I don't know, I'm assuming. They might have went in there to sleep or something but it doesn't look like it from all of the investigation going on," said Young.
