UPDATE: Police tell us 23-month-old Jack Randolph has been safely located in Atlanta. Jefferson City police confirm that Randolph has shared custody with his child's mother, and could legally take the child with him. Police said that because of that information, they decided not to press charges.
Police have asked for the public's help in finding 23-month-old Jack Randolph of Jefferson City, who was last seen Sunday afternoon, according to a news release.
Randolph is believed to be with his father, 36-year-old Kerry Randolph, according to the endangered person alert. The elder texted the child's mother asking if he and a friend could take the child to Atlanta, but the child is not allowed to leave the state, according to the Jefferson City Police Department.
The two are believed to be riding in a white 1996 Cadillac Eldorado with Missouri license plate WB7X6A.
Police said Kerry Randolph may be under the influence of alcohol and has ceased communication with the child's mother. The pair may be traveling with Lucas Diehl, a white male, listed as being 5 foot 7 inches and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
No physical description was available for either of the Randolphs.
Anyone with information about Jack or Kerry Randolph, Diehl or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Jefferson City Police Department at 573-634-6400.
