Police work to keep roads safe on Labor Day weekend with DUI checkpoint

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Officers are working to keep the roads safe over the holiday weekend with DUI checkpoints. Police stopped 192 cars at I-70 and Prospect on Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

Eight of those drivers were arrested for driving under the influence. Officers caught two people driving with a suspended or revoked license. Four drivers did not have a license.

Officers wrote one ticket for child endangerment and one for careless driving. Seven drivers were cited for other traffic violations.

No Operator's License - 4
