President Obama's Kansas cousin runs for office

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas Senator Pat Roberts and his newest rival are already exchanging words.

Dr. Milton Wolf, a Tea Party activist from Leawood and just so happens to be President Obama's second cousin, announced on Tuesday he will challenge the powerful three term senator.

Shortly after the announcement, Roberts called for Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to resign.

Roberts said the problems with the Affordable Care Act's health care exchanges shows "gross negligence" on Sebelius' part.

But Wolf, a political newcomer, said Roberts' call is too little too late. He noted Roberts voted more than once to put Sebelius in her position.

"She should resign no matter what," Wolf said, "she should resign whatever happens with Obamacare, even if it were repealed because she's been an unmitigated disaster in Washington."

Sebelius' office has not responded to their comments.

Roberts has been a critic of the Affordable Care Act.

Milton's announcement on Tuesday made international news, mostly due to his family connection with the President Barack Obama.
