On Saturday the Powerball jackpot was at $478 million. That's the largest it’s been since the $1.6 billion Powerball back in January.

People throughout the metro stopped into Red X in Riverside to try and pick their winning numbers while dreaming big.

“I would buy a cargo airplane, a small two engine c-7 caribou,” said Ed Porter.

“I’m going to pay off my debts and I’m going to buy a red convertible,” said Mary Lohoefener.

The winner has the option of spreading the $478 million out over the next 30 years or taking the lump sum option, which would be $330.6 million before federal taxes.

The odds of winning are one in 292 million. People have a better chance of being hit by lightning. The odds of winning $4 is more likely, which is 1 in 38.
