Minor injuries reported after buses collide near 16th & Van Brunt

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - At least one student is being taken to a hospital for minor injuries after two school buses collided near 16th and Van Brunt in Kansas City, Mo.

The two buses were transporting students from East High School, heading northbound on Van Brunt Boulevard when the lead bus stopped short because a dog ran across the road. The bus following it then hit the back of the bus that stopped short.

Twenty-five students were on the lead bus and 24 students were on the trailing bus.
