KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A heroic moment turned into quite a lesson for a group elementary school children.

A five-year-old student at Mark Twain Elementary School collapsed and went into cardiac arrest in front of his older sister, making her the only one to call for help.

After Saraswati Khanal alerted teachers, all she could do was watch as they worked to save her brother, Saugut. Several teachers, the principal, and the principal's secretary all came to help. They did chest compressions until paramedics arrived.

Now, Saugut is doing well and has gone back to playing and learning.

"To see him coming through that door every morning now, all you can say is but god," said Lesley Boyd, the principal's secretary.
