KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Authorities have suspended the search for a missing man in the Kansas River.
Kansas City, Kan., firefighters searched the river near I-435 and Woodend for the missing 44-year-old man for several hours on Sunday.
"We launched boats and couldn't get up the river. We searched the banks unsuccessfully," Kansas City, Kan., Battalion Chief Kevin Shirley said.
Shirley said they have plans to resume the search on Monday.
The name of the missing man has not yet been released.
