Sebelius answers health care questions in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - United States Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius came to Kansas City to talk to local leaders about implementing new health care plans under the Affordable Care Act. Her visit comes just 11 days before enrollment begins October 1st.

Sebelius explained most Americans won't need to enroll. Fifteen percent of Americans either are uninsured or buying insurance on an individual basis and understanding enrollment is crucial for them.

The website www.HealthCare.gov is up and running now and once enrollment starts, Sebelius says the site will show plans side by side. The comparison will allow people to decide which price and option is best for them.

For people who aren't comfortable on-line, a toll-free number can be called and questions can be answered in 150 languages. That number is 1-800-318-2596.
