KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lewis Perkins, 20, pleaded guilty Tuesday to assaulting a Kansas City bus driver in an incident that happened last summer.
The driver worked for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and last July, the driver told two people to get off the bus at 31st and Agnew because they refused to pay the bus fare.
Surveillance video on the bus was rolling at the two suspects as a juvenile male and an adult male began to kick, punch and stab the bus driver.
The juvenile suspect pleaded guilty in juvenile court. Perkins pleaded guilty and will be sentenced on April 16; he faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
The 52-year-old driver who was beaten, is on the job driving again.
