With freezing temperatures turning wet roads into icy roads, several car wrecks have been reported across the metro.
Westbound Interstate 435 at Interstate 35 in Johnson County was shutdown due to icy conditions, but reopened by 6:20 a.m.
Notable incidents:
- A woman was transported to the hospital following a wreck on northbound Interstate 435 and Interstate 70. Three children were in the car with her, but were not injured.
- No serious injuries were reported in a wreck on westbound 220 Highway at Brighton Avenue in the Northland.
- Two wrecks were reported on 63rd Street at Interstate.
- A wreck was reported at I-435 and Shoal Creek Parkway in the Northland.
- Another wreck at Red Bridge and 71 Highway.
- A rollover crash from I-435 north of Raytown Road in Kansas City, Mo.
