KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 26-year-old Shawnee man died after a vehicle struck him in the driveway of a duplex Monday morning.
Police on Tuesday identified the man as Hunter McPhail, of Shawnee.
Around 9:20 a.m., Shawnee police responded to the crash in the 23500 block of West 73rd Street near Hedge Lane Terrace. Police said a 51-year-old Kansas City, Kansas woman was backing up a vehicle when she struck the man in the driveway.
The man, who has not been identified, died at the scene. The driver is cooperating with police.
The Shawnee Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash.
