Local museum displays Shirley Temple memorabilia
SHAWNEE, Kan. - If you're looking for anything Shirley Temple, a Shawnee business has you covered.
The Doll Cradle, located near Johnson Drive and Nieman, has a huge display of vintage Shirley Temple dolls and memorabilia.
They collect and sell all sorts of pictures, movies, books and knick-knacks.
Connie Harrell said the Shirley Temple dolls are worth a lot of money if they're kept in good condition.
"They have original dresses, original clothes, original socks and shoes. Even the button that's punned on them in the box is very important. That all adds to their value," Harrell said.
The Doll Cradle has been collecting items for more than 50 years. It's open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
