KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Anticipation of the pending snow storm has shoppers stocking up and grocers cashing in.
Some shoppers are stocking up just in case they're snowed in, while others do it to enjoy the comforts of home.
The Price Chopper in Roeland Park, Kan., ordered extra rock salt, milk and bread because they expected a high demand for the staples people want at home..
Barbara Turnbull is one of those stock-up shoppers. She's been preparing her shelves for the past two days.
"The last snow storm we had, I didn't even go outside for 3 or 4 days because I didn't need to. I had everything I needed in the house," Turnbull shared.
As a teacher, Turnbull plans to cook chili, watch movies and knit as others are shoveling snow.
