One person was shot in the leg outside a Days Inn in Independence, Missouri on Wednesday.
Police say someone opened fire outside the hotel at the 1300 block of 42nd Terrace. They were called out to Days Inn and America’s Best Value Inn at 5:11 a.m.
Police said they were going room to room, conducting a search and asking travelers if they had seen anything.
Some people were put in handcuffs while 41 Action News was there, however, police could not say if they were being questioned about the shooting.
Both hotels are under the same ownership and are located next door to each other. They are currently open.
