‘Stranger danger' incident near Raytown Middle School

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Raytown Middle School Prinicpal Georgetta May sent out a letter to parents on Tuesday, warning of possible a "stranger danger" incident that took place near the school.

The letter said a man in a dark colored pick-up truck approached a student with tinted windows pulled up to him and asked if he needed a ride. The student said he didn't and began walking away.

The student reported the man parked his car, got out and followed him up the hill.

May said police have been alerted as well as local elementary schools and transportation offices.

In the letter, May reminded parents to inform their children about not talking to strangers.
