KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One flight was canceled and several others delayed following a bomb threat to Terminal B at Kansas City International Airport on Sunday evening.
The terminal was evacuated until about 8:30 p.m. when authorities gave an all-clear notice. KCI spokesman Joe McBride said the threat was a hoax. He said a man approached an airport employee and stated there was a bomb in a car parked at the curb. The man was taken in to custody, McBride said.
Passengers were removed from the terminal for nearly two hours, and some passengers said airport officials tried multiple times to contact the owner of the vehicle before they were told to leave the terminal.
Flights from Southwest, AirTran, Alaska and Delta airlines were affected.
