With the U.S Women's Gymnastics team taking home the gold this week, it's inspiring a whole new generation of young gymnasts who one day hope to achieve their own Olympic dreams.

"I want to get a gold medal and win," said gymnast Camryn Nelson.

She's one of many students at the Kansas City Gymnastics School who might push a little harder this week -- inspired by what they see in Rio.

"Because when they do it, I have a goal for me to do it," said 8-year-old Makena Wohahn.

When the U.S. Women's Olympic Team took home the gold, Makena could barely control her emotions.

"I almost cried," said Makena.

Coach and Kansas City Gymnastics School owner Laura Cashmore sees this every four years. She calls it Olympic fever.

"I think U.S.A. Gymnastics has inspired a whole generation of girls to have dreams to work hard and to shoot for the Olympics," said Cashmore.

Having been in business in Riverside for 32 years, she said she sees more girls walk through her doors after every Summer Olympics.

"Every Olympics is where the gymnastics industry has a hike," said Cashmore. "And we're all gearing up and ready for it."

It's her chance to get the next generation ready for their own chance at Olympic gold.
