Tucked away next to Bonner Springs Elementary School, you will find an educational oasis.
It is an outdoor learning area with books and a bench for reading.
Last weekend, vandals hit the outdoor learning area. Benches were down, glass busted and books were burned.
Sadly, it is a repeat story. Vandals hit the area in February. The students led a penny drive and raised $1,500 to fix it up.
It just reopened two months ago, which makes seeing the area damaged tough for students like Xavier Raygoza.
"I was really sad when they set it on fire," he said.
