KANSAS CITY, Mo. - This weekend several events across the metro honored and thanked local veterans for their service to our country.
One unique way to show appreciation: a vintage car show.
More than 50 vintage mustang cars from the Mustang Club of Greater Kansas City were on display on the front lawn of the World War I Museum in Kansas City on Saturday. One of those cars included a patriotic car.
The car is traveling the country as part of the Wounded Warrior's "High Five Tour."
Visitors were asked to sign the car and write a message to our veterans.
"It's really important for all of us here in Kansas City, for us to be able to recognize the support that veterans give to all of us, and all the service that they've given us," said one of the visitors at the show.
On Monday, admission to the museum is free.
