Arkansas girl recovers doll designed after her soldier father

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) - A missing doll is heading home to the little girl who lost it at the "Bikes, Blues & BBQ" festival in Fayetteville, Ark.

Just before Charlotte Carter's father left for Afghanistan, her grandma gave her a doll with a picture of the National Guardsman.

"It's a way to keep her daddy with her," grandma Janet Irwin said. "She sleeps with it. She takes it everywhere."

The kids came down to visit for the festival, and at the height of the rally, the "Daddy Doll" disappeared.

"We just went down and enjoyed the day, and we came back to the house and found that the doll was gone," Irwin said.
