Four brothers sell lemonade to afford school supplies, trying to save up for computer

(KHQ) - Four young brothers in Spokane, Wash., have been working a lemonade stand all summer to raise money for school supplies.

The boys, who are originally from Afghanistan, immigrated with their mother two years ago from Russia. They ended up there after wars in the Middle East drove them from place to place. When they arrived in Spokane, they had next to nothing to their name.

So from 10 until 6 every day, they've manned a lemonade stand outside their apartment complex.

"If you're not going to work hard, you're not going to get anything," one of the boys, Aziz Moltafet, said. "You have to work hard to get something." Aziz the oldest brother at 14.

The idea was to make sure they have backpacks and school supplies ready for the first day. Their dream, however, was to get a computer too, to help them with their work.
