The water at Terminal B is back on at KCI, but there was no running water or place to use the restroom for nearly 13 hours after a Tuesday evening line break.
Portable toilets arrived around 7 a.m. Wednesday to relieve passengers stuck without restrooms. Crews fully restored water service within a couple more hours.
Water pooled up on Bonn Circle, a service road near the terminal.
The water fountains were also out of order, meaning travelers reportedly had to purchase bottled water at airport prices. One woman told 41 Action News she paid around $5 to get a bottle.
While on scene, Kansas City Water Department crews also fixed a broken valve in Terminal C.
