Fourth Friday at Lee’s Summit
Enjoy art, theatre and music at Lee’s Summit Fourth Friday . Businesses throughout downtown feature cultural art activities with artist displays, author readings and more. The event occurs every fourth Friday until October. The event is free and goes from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday.
Exotic Driving Experience at Kansas Speedway
If you’ve ever dreamed of getting behind the wheel of an exotic car, here’s your chance. But be ready to drop some cash. The Exotic Driving Experience is bringing cars by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Audi. The program offers a 6-lap drive with additional lap upgrades available, or you can sit in the passenger seat with a professional. The event will be at Kansas Speedway Friday through Sunday with rides starting at $199.
Maker Faire: Kansas City
Get inspired at Maker Faire: Kansas City . The event will showcase things people create themselves from new technology and gizmos to homemade clothes and sculptures. There will be key speakers, activities for kids and families and musicians playing throughout the weekend. Maker Faire: KC will be at Union Station Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Get tickets online starting at $9 for kids and $12 for adults.
Kansas City Royals vs. Los Angeles Angels
The Royals play a three-game series at home against the Angels this weekend. Friday is Girls Night Out where the first 10,000 ladies will receive a cowboy hat. On Saturday, the first 10,000 fans will receive a James Shields Bobblehead. Sunday is Kansas State Day for Wildcat supporters. The first 2,500 fans who bring their K-State Day ticket to the K-State table at Gate B will receive a limited edition purple and white KC Royals K-State Cap. You can get tickets online.

Repticon Kansas City
Pythons and anacondas and bearded dragons, oh my! If you’re a fan of reptiles and other exotic animals, you may want to head to Repticon Kansas City . Enthusiasts can enjoy interactive animal presentations, free raffles and supplies and merchandise. The event will be at the Abdallah Shrine Center Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets are $5 for children and $12 for adults.
