Construction crews have been hard at work all winter at Oceans of Fun, which will open in 2013 with a new six-slide tower, additional food options, new kiddie pools, 2,500 more lounge chairs and a new VIP cabana.
The new tower features three aqua-launch slides, two tube slides and an enclosed 360-degree slide.
Even the old slides will feel new, as all slides (and buildings) in the entire park were refurbished.
There will also be additional food options from years past, including a new Subway location and a Chickie's & Pete's sports bar.
Perhaps the biggest change is the park's merge with Worlds of Fun. The two parks will now be a single-admission ticket.
Other new attractions and amenities include:
New interactive displays in Caribbean Cooler
New zero-depth entry kiddie pools with new floating interactives and new filtration systems
New interactives at Coconut Cove
New front gate for improved services and traffic flow
New electronic lockers
New cabanas including a VIP cabana
2,500 additional lounge chairs
Expanded sun decks including doubling Adult Pool sun deck size
